Take a look at the homes that closed escrow in the South Bay city of Lawndale CA during the month of January 2022. It was a slower month in terms of the number of homes that sold but prices continued to rise.
There were only 6 on MLS home sales during the month compared to 15 in December. The average “list” price was $855,167 with the average sold price of $864,667 meaning that homes generally sold well over the “asking” price. The average price per foot was $$531. The newest listing in Lawndale and El Camino Village is a cute, but dated single family home located at 15506 Gerkin. As Gerkin backs up to the tree tunnel street of Cordary, you get to enjoy the cool tree (and hawks!) without being in the shade all of the time.

The top home price of the year in Lawndale was a beautiful Spanish style single family home offering 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, over 3,200 square feet and a spacious lot with almost 6,000 square feet. The home was built in 2007 but extensively remodeled. The main home featured 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and beautiful interior spaces.
The large R2 lot featured a spacious backyard with pleny of room for the former garage which had been converted into a guest house (ADU) with full kitchen, full bathroom, living room and bedroom.
