3 homes sell in Lawndale with an average home price of $661,333

It was slow going in the Lawndale real estate market in March with only 3 homes closing escrow.  With 11 homes selling in March it seemed things were picking up, but April was a bit of a disappointment.A

There were only 3 homes that sold and closed escrow during the month compared to 11 in March and 4 in February..

The average “listing” price for the homes that sold was  $691,333 with the average sales price at $661,333 which was way down from March’s impressive $813,409 average but still up from $597,750 in February.

 The homes that sold averaged $536 per square foot.

11 homes sell in Lawndale with an average home price of $813,409

After a very slow February, the Lawndale real estate market definitely picked up the pace in March.

There were an impressive 11 homes that sold and closed escrow during the month compared to only 4 in February and 3 in January.

The average “listing” price for the homes that sold was  $790,154 with the average sales price at $813,409 which was WAY above $597,750 in Februarybut fairly typical of prior months.

Homes averaged a very brief 55 days on the market before going in to escrow.  The homes that sold averaged $639 per square foot.

It was a solid month for the Lawndale real estate market with 6 homes closing escrow in the month of July which was pretty typical of recent months.

Home prices were impressive

The average “listing” price for the homes that sold was $886,166 with the average sales price $915,000 compared with $710,971 in June and May’s $766,000.

The homes that sold averaged $675 which was quite a bit higher than June, but similar to May.

Let’s take a look at how the Lawndale real estate market is doing and how June 2024 compared with a year earlier.  The number of homes for sale in Lawndale as well as sold homes stayed pretty steady.  There were 9 active listings and 7 sold homes in June of 2023 compared with 8 active listings and 7 sold homes in 2024.

That said home prices jumped up considerably with the median sales price in June 2024 at $780,000 compared to $675,000 in June of 2023 which was an almost 16% increase.

There was only 1 home sale during the month which was a rather dramatic decrease from the already slow January.

The only sale during the month was a larger and fairly new attached townhome located at 4536 w 171st St that sold for and impressive price of $955,000.
